Costantino Contini was artisticly born with "Liquefactions" in 1987. For a long time he applies himself to elaborate interesting tonalities , to a colour architecture , with oil-colours and enamel paintings , which brings out particular " tonal depths and evocative brightness". Remarkables his first chromatic "explorations": a "spatial chromatism", a " vivacity of the liquids" , but "natural colours" too , " a past-future reconnection".

He introduces himself to the public for the first time in 1990 at the Forum Interart gallery In Rome and subsequently in 1995, with personal exhibitions. The critics settle his art as "spatial chromatism"[...]"a space , like a colour architecture, a colour , a bright and fantasious colour, measured in singular forms"[...]" Costantino Contini's art supposes new concepts not only in the colour connections , but also in the form.”

In 1995 , year most rich in artistic creations, we notice a stylistic mutation introducing not only his "chromatic picts" but also a more accurate quest of the space and of the time. Mute Alphabet is for sure the painting that more represents this evolution: symbols, tonalities, new arguments , a past flashback through futuristic concepts. In 1999 , his art evolves to new contents through an "expression of forms and colours".

In 2003, he starts a new series of paintings where the colours talk, weave a plot of stains and signs which seem to talk to each other, to seek, to chase each other to the infinite. The colour creates the forms, which are not static, but which keep close, since the beginning, a thought, an idea, that the artist knows how to materialise. In the paintings of Contini, we can read the past, the present and the future; what we are and what we would be, colours like notes or words or gestures, for telling an emotion.
